February Fun in Downtown Dunedin

The shortest month of the year isn’t falling short on fun in downtown Dunedin! With more than a dozen different events going on throughout the month, including holiday celebrations, festivals, and markets, check out all the upcoming fun:

Festivals

Art in the Park

WHEN: February 13th from 10 A.M. – 4 P.M.

WHERE: John R. Lawrence Pioneer Park

WHAT: Presented by the Creative Artists Guild, this popular event will happen twice more in the spring season.

Arts & Craft Festival

WHEN: February 19th & 20th from 10 A.M. – 5 P.M.

WHERE: Throughout Downtown Dunedin

WHAT: Meet 150 of the nation’s most talented artists showcasing life-size sculptures, spectacular paintings, one-of-a-kind jewelry, photography and ceramics.

Performances

Piper on the Pier

WHEN: Every Friday and Saturday during Sunset

WHERE: Dunedin Marina Pier

WHAT: Every Friday and Saturday during sunset (October 15, 2021 – April 30, 2022), listen to the Piper on the Pier play “Amazing Grace” and other live bagpipe music while watching the sunset.

Dunedin Showcase Kids’ Theater

WHEN: February 4th at 7 P.M. and 5th at 3 P.M.

WHERE: Dunedin Community Center

WHAT: The Kids Division offers drama productions twice per year for audiences of all ages to enjoy. Presented by Dunedin Parks & Recreation and Dunedin Showcase Theater.

Dunedin Concert Band Performance

WHEN: February 20th at 3 P.M.

WHERE: Dunedin Community Center

WHAT: Hum along to some of the most well-known big Broadway musicals. Bring someone with you to enjoy the surprise melodies this award-winning ensemble is preparing to share with you.

Dunedin Community Chorus Concert

WHEN: February 27th at 3 P.M.

WHERE: Dunedin Community Center

WHAT: Come hear the Dunedin Community Chorus (“The Chorus with a Heart”) give their regards to Broadway “plus” a variety of entertaining and delightful selections that will help to usher in 2022. You never know what the chorus may have up its sleeve!

Valentine’s Dinner Buffet & Dancing

WHEN: February 12th from 5 P.M. – 9 P.M.

WHERE: Bon Appétit Restaurant

WHAT: Bon Appétit is hosting their annual Valentine’s Dinner Buffet and Dancing, complete with spectacular views, romantic ambiance, and delicious cuisine.

Valentine’s Day Dinner

WHEN: February 14th from 4 P.M. – 9 P.M.

WHERE: Bon Appétit Restaurant

WHAT: The pinnacle of romance: a four-course dinner served in Bon Appétit’s main dining room with a stunning view of Dunedin’s coastline and St. Joseph’s Sound.

Mardi Gras Parade & Festival

WHEN: February 26th from 2 P.M. – 11 P.M.

WHERE: Downtown Dunedin

WHAT: Enjoy Mardi Gras in grand style and celebrate with food, drink, music and a parade featuring over 50 unique colorful floats.

Markets

Dunedin Downtown Market

WHEN: Fridays and Saturdays from 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.

WHERE: Pioneer Park

WHAT: The Dunedin Downtown Market features over 40 vendors selling fresh produce, plants, eggs, meats, cheese, honey, baked goods, soaps, candles, lunch bites and other great items. Live music performed on stage each Saturday the Market is held. Dog friendly and free to attend.

Other Events

Hope Spot Festival

WHEN: February 12th from 10 A.M. to 6 P.M.

WHERE: Edgewater Park

WHAT: Join us at Edgewater Park in downtown Dunedin to celebrate the Florida Gulf Coast Hope Spot! Ocean exhibitors will be highlighting our special waters during this eco-friendly event alongside exhibitors and vendors offering food, drinks, live music, hands-on activities, and educational experiences. Featuring DJ MultiPlayer Agency on the mic from 10-4 pm and Jesse Ray Stout on the guitar from 4-6 pm.

Make your own eco-friendly outfit out of all eco-friendly, recycled, or recyclable material and enter into our Costume and Wearable Art Contest. Prizes are available for adults and children! Participate in a shoreline cleanup and contribute to a community art installation led by SHAMc Artreach. Children can also participate in our Passport Program, visiting each participating booth and getting a stamp on their passport to qualify for great prizes!
